University Holds an Introductory Workshop on the Guidelines to preventing Covid 19

Source: King Khalid University Media and Communications King Khalid University represented by the The university  supreme committee for   Health Status, Emergency and Crisis Plans to Limit the Spread of  novel  Coronavirus, recently held a virtual workshop to introduce the corona prevention guide manual. On his part the University president prof. Falleh bin Rajallah Al Solami explained that the university held this work shop in conjunction with the return of an estimate of 60,000 students, adding that this workshop comes to introduce the corona prevention guide manual, which was built on the directions of the authorized entities and is consistently updated. Al Solami, explained that the workshop targeted university members and students and aimed to enhance  the awareness of safety precautions with in the university to prevent the spread the the corona virus, in addition to the methods to treating cases and  suspected cases in the university entities. The workshop was presented by the committee  members , the associate professor of public health at the College of Medicine, member of the Scientific Council for Preventive Medicine in the Authority for Health Specialties, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sabani, assistant professor of epidemiology at the College of Applied Medical Sciences in Abha, and  the head of the Department of Basic Medical Sciences, Dr. Saeed Mastour Al-Shahrani. The workshop discussed a number of topics,  most notably” how to prepare  for the university year, the extent of the impact of the Corona virus on the educational and administrative process at the university, the symptoms that you  should  alerted by, which introduced the risks of the spread of  virus and allowed the participants a clear view on the dangers of the virus and the importance of precautionary measures for prevention Corona virus in the university environment. It is worth noting, that one of the tasks of the Supreme Committee  ,is to coordinate with the Crisis and Disaster Management Committee in the region, to  recommend  closing any educational institution if necessary, and to issue relevant guidelines , instructions, directions needed to prevent the spread of the virus. In addition it is the committees responsibility  to spread awareness on  current cases and regional updates to  limit the spread of the Corona virus among university employees, while following up on the implementation of emergency and crisis plans.

Celebrating More than 16.000 Graduates

Source: KKU - Media Center Under the patronage of His Excellency the Governor of Asir region, Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, King Khalid university virtually celebrated the graduation of more than 16.000 students for the Academic year 1442Ah.  On the occasion His Royal Highness said "Today we are proud of you, as you devoted all your efforts to successfully surpass college years, which wasn't easy during Covid-19 , yet we all proved to the world that we are capable of overcoming this challenge, we have always been able to overcome it and we will always be, and today, by graduating university, you proved that those efforts were not wasted" His Royal Highness concluded his speech by saying "We hope to see you soon in the professional field, loyal to our great leadership and this precious country." His Excellency, the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaa Allah Al Solami, thanked His Royal Highness, Prince Turki bin Talal for generously patronizing the ceremony, and for his constant support to all university activities. He also congratulated the graduates, and asked Allah to guide them to serve this country. Al Solami, stressed that the Kingdom is a successful global example for taking care of its people. In His Excellency speech to the graduates he said "Be proud of our young leadership which always believes in you, and aims to empower you, and be proud of your university, which prepared you for the next step of your life, also  be  proud of your country which is ambitiously leaping to be a first world country through its aspirations and faith in you as a generation , and know that being only proud , and being ambitious alone without working towards excellence is not enough to achieve dreams.  It's worth noting that, the General Administration of Information Technology, prepared an electronic site for the graduates to congratulate each other and to interact with each other and with their families, the Administration also prepared a number of media channels, to allow graduates to express their joy.

The University Provides Smart Devices to More than 160 Students

   Source: King Khalid University media center King Khalid University, represented by the Guidance and Counseling Center at the Deanship of Student Affairs, recently issued  a decisions to assign  more than 160 students with smart devices  as part of the university’s initiative to facilitate the distance education process. The Supervisor of the Guidance and Counseling Center, Dr. Waddah Al-Alami, explained that this initiative is part of the university’s attention towards providing all necessary support to help implement distance learning , pointing that  a committee was formed by the center and the Student Fund to follow up and study the requests received by the colleges, in order to ensure the validity of all inquiries  according to the fund guideline approved by the University Council. Al-Alami, also thanked the university administration for its keenness and interest to  contribute to the development of all students and the   overcoming of  difficulties  faced during their university experience, he also thanked the Guidance and Counseling Center and the Student Fund employees for their hard work and efforts.

Our Homeland Program Launches in its Third Version

University Participates in Almadinah Almunawarah Development Authority Event

Representing King Khalid University was Dr. Ali Marzouk, supervisor of the Urban Heritage Research and Study Unit. Dr. Ali Marzouk explained that his lecture, 'Problems with Critique Speech -a Semiotic Module', first served to spread the culture of art critique and also served to activate increased cooperation between and among King Khalid University and several government authorities. Dr. Marzouk provided a brief introduction to semiotics at the beginning of the lecture. He described it as one of the most important critique approaches. He also confirmed that semiotics will solve the absence of critique. "Semiotics is an effort that tries to study the signs and unveil was is not noticeable to the naked eye," he said. The lecture included a semiotic analysis of some works from the event's exhibition, focusing on the Saudi artist Noura Al-Qahtani and the Syrian artist Salah Sayes. At the end of the lecture, Saudi Art Association Director at Al-Madinah, Mansour Sharif, honored Dr. Marzouk with a medal and a certificate memorializing the occasion.

Community Service and Continuous Learning at the University announces 45 training courses

These courses are for both male and female students, in cooperation with many university colleges. The Dean of the Deanship of Community Service and Continuous Learning Dr. Omar Alwan Aqeel, explain that the number of courses in this semester reached 45, thirteen of which was for male students and another thirteen were for female. The courses at the Tuhamma Branch were 19. He pointed that the courses are varied and include different aspects of life. They all aim to develop the Community and qualify the beneficiaries in different Professional fields required by the Labour Market. Aqeel confirmed that these courses will be given by experienced qualified academic trainers and they end with certified certificates.
