Vice President Al-Buhairi Sends His Appreciation

                                    Source: King Khalid University - Media Center  His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Al-Buhairi raised his thanks to His Excellency the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad Bin Mohammed Al-Shaikh, and to His Excellency, King Khalid University Rector Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy, for assigning him as Vice President of King Khalid University, asking allah to keep security and peace within the Kingdom under its wise leaders.  Dr. AL-Buhairi expressed his gratitude with confidence, noting that he will strive to exceed expectations and bring King Khalid University to even greater heights.  Of noteworthy mention, Dr. Al-Buhairi held a number of administrative positions, most recently as Dean of Human Resources.

University Engineering participates in the activities of the Second International Engineering Conference and Exhibition

                Source: King Khalid University - Department of Information and Communication   The University's College of Engineering participated in the activities of the Second International Engineering Conference and Exhibition, which is the largest gathering of engineers in the Middle East, recently held in Riyadh. The college participated in the management of a scientific session within the conference activities, in the path of industrial engineering and supply chains and local content entitled "Improvement and Operations Research", where the university and the college were represented in the session management by the head of the Industrial Engineering Department at the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Saleh Al-Ghamdi. Al-Ghamdi also participated in the arbitration of the participating scientific research as a representative of the College of Engineering at King Khalid University

Celebration of the Janadriyah National Festival for Heritage and Culture

The event concluded with a cultural competition about our past and present, which ended with the victory of (5) female college students, and attended 35 female employees, 25 faculty members, and all female college students. The aim of the event was to emphasize religious and social values ​​that have deep roots in history and revive the great and authentic heritage of different cultures.

Launching "Translation: Dialogue of Cultures" Forum today

Falleh bin Raja Allah Al-Sulami the activities of the Scientific Forum "Translation: Dialogue of Cultures" will start today, Wednesday. This forum is organized by the College of Science and Arts in Khamis Mushait in cooperation with the Faculty of Languages ​​and Translation. It will be for two days and it takes place in the University main campus in Abha.  This forum is the first of its kind in the region and it includes participating a number of researchers who presented a number of researches and shared their experiences in the field of translation. The total number of participations was 23 research 13 of which were assessed and approved, they will be discussed through the Forum.  The University Post-Graduate Studies Vice-Rector Dr. Sa’ad Al-Amri, explained that the Forum aims to shed light on the importance of translation and how to apply it according to the Saudi 2030 Vision. As well as identifying the problems and challenges in the translation field, in addition to proposing solutions and strategies to develop translation. Al-Amri confirmed that this Forum aims to discuss modern technology in translation and presenting the most prominent individual and institutional achievements and initiatives in the field of translation. The Dean of the College of Sciences and Arts in Khamis Mushait Prof. Sarra Abu Malha, indicated that the forum focuses on the role of translation in the development process according to the 2030 Saudi Vision. As well as the axis of: translation problems and challenges, translation  solutions and strategies, modern technology in translation and personal and institutional experiences in translation.  It is worth to mention that the Forum hosts a group of translation specialists and scholars from the Arab world, including Translation Studies Professor at the University of Taibah, Dr. Walid Belhesh Al-Amari, the Linguistics Professor in the Faculty of Languages ​​and Translation at Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University Dr. Abdul Hamid bin Abdul Samie Elewa and Linguistics and Translation Professor in the Faculty of Languages ​​and Translation at King Saud University Dr. Alrashid bin Muhammad Abdul Qadir.

The university announces its need to full academic jobs with Saudis

                                 King Khalid University - Media Center : المصدر The Deanship of Human Resources has announced its need to reappoint vacant positions held by expatriates. These vacant positions are open in a number of scientific, medical, human and educational specialties for male and female in accord with the following conditions: The applicant must be a Saudi national; The doctorate degree and promotion decision for applicants to Associate Professor and Professor Degree positions should be from a Saudi university or other recognized university; The doctoral degree should be an extension of the undergraduate and graduate area of study. Candidates must pass any and all applicable interviews and exams. Also, the applicant must have obtained an academic degree through full study and residency in the country of study. Lastly, candidates must furnish proof of the ability to teach in English if the applicant graduated from a university where English was not the medium of communication. Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Muhammad Al-Misfer said "The aim of the training program is to give the trainees the ability to use creative thinking, mechanisms in creating effective solutions that can be applied to local problems related to the environment, food or energy,  Focus on finding the relation  between food, water and energy and  Building awareness, further Knowledge development, and provide complex thinking tools and problem-solving skills for future leaders The program based on 3methodolgies, first one, Systematic thinking, which deals with seeing the bigger picture rather than seeing isolated parts; second, Plan the scenario of asking "what / if" questions to explore alternative perspectives on the future and find reasonable stories about it; and the third one , change theory,  characterized by a methodology of thinking ,Imagine how and why a particular change is expected. Merging these methods into one program leads to finding a new way to look at the complexities and challenges that exist in society, It also shows young people how to deal with the complex challenges facing the current and future society.

The Vice President for Educational and Academic Affairs crowns the winners of the Ramadan Sports Tournament

                        On behalf of His Excellency the Director of King Khalid University, Dr. Faleh Bin Rajaa Allah Al Salami, Vice Chancellor for Academic and Academic Affairs, Dr. Saad Bin Mohammed Bin Dajjam sponsored the graduation ceremony for the university employees.
