University President Inaugurates Best National Day Participation and History Competition

Falleh bin Rajallah Al Solami inaugurated the  91 National Day participation  and History competitions in the presence of the university vice president Dr. Mohammad bin Hamad Al Buhari , on Monday morning the 20th of September 2021. The two events include:  the "King Khalid University Award for Best Participation in the 91st National Day", which was meant to be limited to university members but after a  brief presentation of  the award, His Excellency decided to expand  the circle of participation to all members of the society, believing in the necessity of creating a national community partnership and  deepening the university's third function of community service. During the inauguration his Excellency stressed that the university includes people of special needs in all activities and competitions and allow them an opportunity  to express them selves in this occasion. His excellency also unguarded the History competition , which is organized by the college of humanities and highlights the history and heritage of our beloved country and the events that commemorate His Majesty the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz.

Bazar Al Dar, National Day Celebration

Source: King Khalid University media center King Khalid University, represented by the Community Colleges in Abha and the College of Arts and Sciences in  Khamis Mushait, recently held  the 91st National Day  female students celebration ceremony,  in the presence of the University Vice President of Female Affairs, Prof.  Kholoud Abu Melha,  at  the College of Science theater, in the female student academic complex , King Abdullah Road. The Vice president of female academic affairs, congratulated our  wise leadership,  and the attendance of the ceremony on this occasion. She  praised the activities and efforts devoted to the celebration, stressing the importance of  commemorating our national history and celebrating national achievements. The ceremony included visual presentations, Saudi female achievements  and a review of the most prominent Saudi project developments in the Kingdom. The ceremony was under the slogan "Bazaar Al Dar,  and included  the innovations and inventions of a number of students who demonstrated creativity and determination.

University President Welcomes 1443ah New Comers

Source: King Khalid University Media Center His Excellency King Khalid University President Prof. Falleh bin Rajallah Al Solami, welcomed the university new comers for the academic year 1443Ah , in a ceremony organized  and held by the university agency for Academic Affairs. His Excellency welcomed the university new comers, commending our wise leaderships efforts in managing the global pandemic and in particular the efforts devoted to  the filed of education , which has contributed profoundly in the return of university students to their classes in the university campus. He then stressed the importance of following all safety and precautionary measures to prevent the spread  of the virus, adding that the university will provide all support and services to students needed in this critical time. On his part, the Vice president of   Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Saad bin Dajam,  explained that the  university is  keen  on  providing  a safe educational environment, which will demand awareness and responsibility from all university members, pointing  that the university is also eager  on providing quality education and skills for all students in a safe environment. The ceremony included an orientation to the university structure and colleges and the services provided from the deanship of admission and student affairs as well as a guide to e-learning, university libraries and student guidance and counseling. It’s worth noting that the ceremony was attended by a large number of students from different field in the university, who had an opportunity to participate in a Q/A session.

The Higher Committee for the Attendance Return to Education at the University sets the frameworks for safe study for the year 1443

The Higher Committee for the Attendance Return to Education at King Khalid University, headed by His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Faleh bin Rajaa Al-Sulami, continues to hold its meetings and set the mechanisms and frameworks for the return of the attendance study for the academic year 1443. Adviser to His Excellency the President of the University and Secretary of the Committee, Dr. Salem Al-Olayani, explained that immediately after the issuance of the royal orders to return to the study, King Khalid University formed supervisory and executive committees at all levels, starting with the Supreme Committee, and ending with the committees of colleges and departments, in order to prepare the various plans and mechanisms, and ensure their implementation in an appropriate manner. To achieve a safe return to in-person education for university employees and students. Al-Olayani added that the concerned authorities at the university prepared the executive plans for each authority under the supervision of the Supreme Committee, including the academic plan, the health plan, the security and safety plan, and the media and awareness plan. An awareness meeting for new students at the Applied College (female section)

The University Council Holds its First Meeting for the Academic year 1443

Source: King Khalid University Media Center On behalf of His Excellency the Minister of Education, His Excellency the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaa Al-Solami, chaired , the (first) meeting of the University Council for the academic year 1443, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Council for Universities Affairs, Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Al-Saleh, and  the Council members The Vice President  for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research - Secretary of the University Council - Dr. Hamid bin Majdoua Al-Qarni, explained that the council reviewed the topics on the agenda and took the necessary decisions in their regard. Al-Qarni, added that one of the most prominent recommendations made by the Council is the approval of the  rules governing the intellectual awareness unit at King Khalid University and its executive procedures,  the approval of the proposal for executive alignment between the university’s strategy 2030 and the strategy of the Asir region, in addition to appointment decisions,  delegation and transfer of some faculty members.

King Khalid University President Inaugurates 6 Platforms

Source: King Khalid University Media Center King Khalid University President , Prof. Dr. Faleh bin Rajaa Al-Sulami, sponsored the inauguration ceremony of 6 electronic educational platforms, in the presence of a number of representatives of  entities in Asir region, in addition to  university employees and students in the university theater in the university city in Abha. The 6  electronic platforms, are a result of the  university's efforts and keenness to develop the  educational process  and improve the quality of teaching and learning by coping with the  latest developments in self based education. His Excellency the President of the University commended the  attention and care devoted by out wise leadership to education in the corona pandemic time, which enabled the filed of education to succeed and for students to return  to schools and university campus safely. His Excellency,  praised the progress and leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the field of education and e-learning, stressing that the launch of these platforms serves  university students and  members of  our society in a variety of areas of learning. He  also added ,  that the most prominent feature of these platforms is that  they were built by a team of students,  faculty members and employees. On the future of these  platforms, the Vice president of  Business and Knowledge Economy, Prof. Dr. Abdullatif bin Ibrahim Al-Hadithi, explained that the  university is  determined  to transform these platforms into specialized technology companies, believing in  the importance of coping with the latest educational developments  and to improve  education  outcomes that meet the  new university system. He  also added that these platforms are national projects that contribute to achieving the Kingdom's Vision 2030, in addition to achieving the university's vision to be among the top 200 universities in the world. Supervisor of the Design and Digital Platforms Unit, Dean of E-Learning, Dr. Nayef Jabali, said  that the Design and Digital Platforms Unit works in the areas of design innovation and the production of digital platforms that contribute to the growth of  knowledge economy and that is  through  focusing  on reinventing services and products. The inauguration included the following platforms: - kkux platform and application for future skills. - Fikra platform for creative development ideas. - Maher platform for training and knowledge enrichment.    -Jazel platform that allows graduate students the opportunity to communicate with experts in the fields of arbitration, statistics, translation and proofreading. - Qimma interactive platform for managing conferences and forums. -  A+ platform the first platform to provide students with references and questions banks. It is worth noting ,that the  University agency  for Business and Knowledge Economy has taken, during its short life, many great steps in its field of specialization, achieving  knowledge economy and performing its mission of contributing to building a business and knowledge community at King Khalid University.

University Officials and Employees: Comment on the “Times 2022” Ranking Classification

Unconditional Support University Vice president Prof. Mohammad bin Hamid Al Buhair said “ Evidence of our wise leadership’s support and insight continues to appear in various fields of prosperity and development.  He added, the entry of 15 Saudi universities  in the Times classification is a 50% increase  in comparison to the pervious ranking and a sold indication of the efforts and devotion dedicated towards the field of education. Great Leap University Vice president of Academic affairs Prof. Saad bin Mohammad bin Dujam commented: His Excellency the minister of Education ’s announcement that t 15 Saudi universities entered  the Times Classification 2022 is leap towards achieving one of the main goals of our  strategic vision to have  at least 3 Saudi  universities among  international classifications. Bin Dujam, added The Times classification depends on several indicators, most important of which are the volume of innovation, the number of PhD holders, the institution’s reputation in research, the number of annual research papers, citations to university research, stressing that these achievement are all a result of the efforts led by the Ministry of Education and the  Universities to align with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.” Ongoing Support University  Vice president  for Business and Knowledge Economy, Prof. Dr. Abdullatif bin Ibrahim Al-Hadithi, congratulated our  wise leadership and His Excellency the Minister of Education and  the Saudi Universities on the  entry of 15 Saudi universities into the Times World University Rankings 2022, noting that these achievements are a result of the continuous support dedicated to  education from our wise leadership. ” Al-Hadithi added, “ Saudi universities competition  with other universities at the regional and global levels, is only a result of their capabilities, the empowerment of the universities  education systems,  the efficiency of programs and projects and our national intention to align  with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030. Promoting  Research and Innovation University Vice president of Post Graduate  Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Hamid bin Majdoua Al-Qarni, praised the entry of the 15 Saudi universities into the Times Classification 2022. Al-Qarni, explained that, King Khalid University, through its educational and research systems, strives to promote a culture of research and innovation in line with the Kingdom's ambitious Vision 2030 and serves the goals and directions of the Ministry of Education.  He added, "This  achievement proves the university's efforts in the research and publication field , noting that  during the past five years a significant rise in the citations rate was positively reflected on the university’s classification locally and globally, the rate of  published research papers  reached about 519%, and a clear   increase in the number of citations amounted to about 152%, which are all a result of the university’s efforts and sources directed to the filed of research and innovation. Global Competitiveness University Vice president of Quality and Development, Dr. Marzan bin Awada Al-Shahrani, said, “We have the right to be proud of the  global competitiveness of the education sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the entry of 15 Saudi universities in the British Times classification,  which is due to the unlimited support that Saudi universities receive from our  government and the directions and supervision of the Ministry of Education. Al-Shahrani added, "This achievement comes as a translation of the great progress witnessed by Saudi universities in the fields of teaching, scientific research and knowledge transfer between regional and international universities, as well as the development of university training programs by all modern methods. Joined Efforts The general supervisor of the branch of King Khalid University in Tihama, Dr. Ahmed Atef Al-Shehri, explained that entry of 15 Saudi universities  in the Times Classification 2022 reflects the generous support of the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which is excels  under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques  His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and,  His Royal Highness Crown Prince,  Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud - may God protect them - and with the follow-up of the Ministry of Education and the concerted efforts of universities, especially in the field of research and scientific publishing, stressing that the efforts of these  advanced centers are  undoubtedly reflected in the quality of the education outcomes and our keenness to achieve the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. National Development The Dean of the College of Dentistry, Prof. Ibrahim bin Suleiman Al-Shahrani, said, "Praise be to God, who has bestowed this blessed country with this wise leadership, who  has supported the education sector.  Adding that the Ministry of Education has strengthened the role of research and innovation and its impact on national development.Al-Shahrani added, “Higher education is  a main pillar in our national  economic and social indicators, which have elevated our kingdom to the ranks of global ranking, and reflected the bright image that we aspire to reach. University Development The Dean of the College of Applied Medical Sciences in Abha, Dr. Majid Saad Al Faye, commended  the entry of 15 Saudi universities into the Times Classification ,  and the 50%  in crease reached in 2022. Enhancing  Research The Dean of the Faculties of Sciences, Arts and community college  at Rijal Alma’a, Dr. Siham Mousa Al Haider, explained that “we are all proud of this achievement,  and the progress of Saudi universities, noting that this success  is nothing but  the effort  made by our wise leadership, the Ministry of Education and the University Affairs Council. Adding that “ research is a source of great strength for prestigious universities around the world, and focusing on it a great investment, which contributes to developing societies and attracting creative ideas.” Clear vision The Dean of the College of Applied Medical Sciences in Mahayel Asir, Dr. Noura Banafa, said, “Our wise leadership pays special attention to education.His Majesty  King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may God protect him, and  Royal Highness  Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, harnessed all efforts to establish a clear and ambitious vision for the Kingdom to be among the top 20 to 30 educational systems in the world.” Hard work The General Supervisor of the International Classifications Unit at the university and the Vice Dean of Quality and Development,  Dr. Sami Musabeh Al-Shehri, said  that “the Saudi universities’ continuation in their success and outstanding progress in international classifications is the result of good planning, quality of implementation, and hard work undertaken by the universities. The most recent of these honorable results was the entry of 15 universities in the Times World University Rankings, among 1662 universities selected from 99 countries around the world. Al-Shehri added, "This achievement is a step  within an integrated series of higher goals planned by the Ministry of Education, and according to a clear roadmap aimed at bringing Saudi universities to the highest international ranks, and achieving the  Kingdom's Vision 2030. Qualitative distinction ViceDean of the College of Sciences and Arts in Mahayel Asir for Educational and Academic Affairs, Dr. Saleh bin Ahmed Al-Suhaimi, confirmed that “when 15 Saudi universities achieve a national achievement in scientific progress worldwide according to the Times classification 2022, we are very  proud. stressing that  this progress indicates the importance of  distinguishing qualitative excellence in terms of scientific research, innovation and teaching methods. He added, "King Khalid University is one of the most important Saudi universities in terms of scientific and research excellence, and through God’s blessing and the support of our wise leadership that this all was achieved. Institutional work Assistant Professor of Literature and Criticism at the College of Science and Arts in Mahayel Asir, Dr. Ibrahim Omar Al-Mahaili, said that "the entry  of 15 Saudi universities in the Times Classification 2022, is a reflection of the support  devoted to education by our wise leadership, and the  Ministry of Education intention  to improve  the status of Saudi  universities. University President :Saudi Universities Global Competitiveness, a Reflection of Our Wise Leadership Guidance

Al Somali, explained that the excel of Saudi Universities in the global classifications are  a result of the attention devoted to education by His Majesty the Custodian of the two holy mosques and the follow up and guidance received by his Royal Highness Crown prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz.  He then added, that 15 Saudi University were included in the times classification for the year 2022 , which is a  50% increase in  Saudi Universities .  in comparison to last year and an  indication of the development in  Saudi universities. He  praised the role of the Ministry of Education and the efforts made by His Excellency the Minister, Professor Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Sheikh and His  Undersecretary for  Universities, Research and Innovation, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Al-Sudairi, are in this direction. More than 126000 Benefit from the Mobadroon Second Round

Source: King Khalid University Media Center King Khalid University,  concluded the second edition of the “Mobadroon  2" project, which was launched at the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, under the patronage of His Highness the Governor of Asir region Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, and which aimed at developing the skills and capabilities of the community, its employees, and students. The Vice President of Business and Knowledge Economy, Prof. Dr. Abdullatif Al-Hadithi, commended  his Royal highness Prince Turkey bin Talal bin Abdulaziz,  patronage of the project, and   extended his thanks  the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Faleh bin Rajaa Al-Salami for his support and interest, and to all those in charge of the project’s programs. Al Hadithi, pointed that the second round of the project included a variety of events and programs free of charge, presented by more than 200 instructors and benefited more than 126,165 participant as well as offering opportunities into 73 volunteer programs.
